How Emotional Intelligence Will Completely Change Your Life
Fired. Yup, I was canned from a lucrative job. Knocked on my butt, shocked and stunned, I had to figure out what to do next. I could have blamed others. I could have turned to the proverbial “bottle” or other substances.

Reflections
Our life revolves around so many reflections, some are the reflections we see in the mirror of ourselves, some reflections of the things we are surrounded with while some upside and unhappy reflections that often changes our perspectives. The way you see a reflection is influenced by the perspective you attain. Sometimes we see things the way we want them to see, not always it's about how those things look like. While most of the time we are deceived by the reflection of things we tend to see. It's often said that the world we see outside is the reflection of the world inside us, this statement sometimes seems so unreal to me. When I look inside me I don't feel any urge to cause destruction and harm anyone around me but when I see outside everywhere all I see is destruction and people harming each other for worldly pleasures. That's surely not what I feel inside me, that's surely not what my heart and soul ever wanted. Inside me is a soul that wants nothing but peace while outside me is a world where there is no sign of harmony, love and peace.

Celebrate Your Body with These 3 Sources
Body positivity is so important, especially now more than ever. With the current pandemic and isolation protocols across the globe, there have been a plethora of memes popping up on the internet "poking fun" at fat bodies, and advising individuals to make sure that they don't "let themselves go" or "get fat" while in isolation at home. As a larger woman who has been in a smaller body and experienced the level of privilege and stigma at each size, and as a woman who is in recovery from, and has been struggling with, an eating disorder that has evolved for over 10 years, I find this fat shaming extremely insulting and damaging.

Day 9 of lock-down, you don'y need anyone's permission.
Day 9 of lock-down, I’ve been reflecting a lot over these past week, looking through my old journals and online posts, for the first time in years I have had the time to look over my writing and see how its changed over the years. It’s crazy to think that most of the country is sitting at home in lock-down, while people are still working in the NHS, the police are still on the streets and lorry drivers and shop workers are still going about their daily lives.

Rewire Your Mind: How to Train Yourself to be Happy
The almighty curse of overthinking. We’ve all been there. Stop me if this sounds familiar: you and your significant other or your best friend are arguing. All of a sudden, they say something that sends a message to your brain that reads something like “they hate me” or “they think I'm ugly” or “if they loved me they would do xyz.”
