We've Been Trumped
The political aspect of the US took a turn after the 2016 presidential election when Donald Trump was announced the winner, and we are still talking about it. Whether that turn has, is, and will be good or bad continues to be debated. Instead of the views being split between the usual Republican and Democratic parties, it seems to have shifted into Trump supporters and anti-Trump supporters. The majority of Trump's supporters are Republican, but not necessarily all of them, as not all liberals have chosen to be anti-supporters. So what is it about President Trump that Americans do or don't approve of?

Fear of the Border Wall
So today marks day 23 of the ongoing government shutdown. Yesterday was the first time furloughed government employees didn't receive a paycheck. Even if the government opened back up tomorrow morning, they still wouldn't see that money in their accounts for another two weeks.

US Government Shutdown: Cracks in the Wall
The partial government shutdown has now been in-place for over two weeks and there appears to be little chance of it coming to an end anytime soon. The reasoning behind the shutdown was the Senate’s failure to break an impasse over President Trumps request for further funds for his wall.

When Is Enough, Enough? Some of My Best Friends Are Conservative. You, Sir, Are No Conservative
As we say in Brooklyn, “It’s bullshit already.” Shut down the damn government, then, Mr. Trump. We’ve had a temperamental, impulsive con man in the White House for the past two years. It’s not as if we’ve had a functioning government since.

Dear Donald
Dear Donald, I am a humble Brit. I followed the 2016 presidential election with great interest because the whole process is far more exciting than a British parliamentary election. Here, we have two parties as well. But, you have a popularity contest with a candidate often thrust upon the party by the voters. Here, the parties themselves choose their leaders who then run. You vote for an individual to be the president but in the United Kingdom, we vote locally and the party who gets the most seats wins the right to form the government. We have a far less personal race and a far less entertaining process. It does have the effect of preventing such a wildcard candidacy, however, because a party leader is determined by the parties themselves and not by the public. Although the process of electing a leader can be heavily influenced by the public opinion, we do not, ultimately, get to choose our leader in the same way America does. It makes the race far more entertaining and exciting to watch, in multiple ways.

Reasons Why Trump Could Be Impeached
If Americans could have it their way, Donald Trump would not be the President of the United States. Since his inauguration, Trump's approval rating has been lower than any other president in recent history, and his disapproval rating has been remarkably high.

Donald Trump, Fake News, and the Illusion-of-Truth Effect
Over the past year, the topic of “fake news” has been all over the news thanks largely in part to Donald Trump and the 2016 presidential election. Throughout the election year and still to this day, many websites have published stories that have little to no factual claims. But yet many of these fake news stories have convinced people that they are in fact factual and credible. The spread of fake news could be related to the illusion-of-truth effect which states that the more someone hears a statement, the more likely they are to believe that it is true.

Donald Trump's Ridiculous Quotes
Donald Trump is a peculiar individual. He is the only President in the world who feels almost everybody is against him. He is not afraid to say what is on his mind, which isn’t bad, but the problem with saying what is in your mind you might end up saying something you’ll regret later. You will feel embarrassed for uttering such words. However, as we know him, he doesn’t feel embarrassed, doesn’t regret and doesn’t mind the remarks he has made. The further he can go on commenting on his remarks is that he didn’t utter such words. The media was the culprit. They twisted his words. This isn’t a strange remark considering it’s a popular phrase among politicians.

And Now, Trump Football Jerseys!
No matter what your views on politics are these days—and everyone has them, and no matter what your views on the President are these days—and everyone definitely has them, there is one thing both red and blue Americans can agree upon. This is the fact that President Donald Trump is a master marketer! As much, if not more, than he can move people's emotions—both in support of him and against him, the President can definitely move merchandise!
