Schitt’s Creek Style
2020’s ever looming lockdown situation had, for me, led to many more hours of free time at home tuned into Netflix. Luckily when feeling jaded from our daily dose of briefings I stumbled across Schitt’s Creek. The riches to rags story line, eccentric yet kind-hearted characters, authentic family dynamic and witty one-liners had me hooked from the first season. There was also a sense of support and community within the wayward town the family was forced to reside in. I felt we could all benefit from nurturing these simple virtues in real life to avoid apathy and best cope with the pandemic which we are all still facing.
