Character Trumps Appearance
What makes a person beautiful? Most people look up to models, TV personalities, and celebrities when trying to define the conditions of beauty. Being beautiful differs from culture to culture, and from historical period to another, but beauty is not defined by how much makeup one wears or whether that person is skinny, fat, short, or tall. Beauty is what people wear on the inside. Can you imagine a world where instead of being judged by appearance, people are instead judged by their kindness and heart? As one wise man once said:

How to Make It Through the Fall Season When Your Boyfriend Is a Football Maniac
Hey, hey, hey, this isn't what you think. I enjoy watching football, but it hasn’t always been this way. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where the popular tagline, “a drinking town with a football problem” reigns. But I had never gotten into it. I never went to any games or tailgates like all my friends and their families did. My dad was more into Penguins hockey, so that’s how I grew up. Football was never something that had made it into my life.

Ways to Overcome Emotional Abusive Relationships
What is love? Is love tearing your partner down? Is it constantly yelling at them, saying how it is always their fault? Or is it never supporting them with all of their goals and choices? No, no it's not. Every day I sit here and think to myself, "why?" Why won't he just talk to me nicely, why won't he support me instead of bringing me down, why won't he take responsibility for making me cry, just why? I know I am not alone. I know there are tons of people who are going through the same thing. You deserve the best. You deserve to be treated with respect and love. Real love. It hurts, you leave someone you love, but what is love with receiving it in return. Know your worth. You are worth the world. You should be their number one. You should be loved. We deserve better, and here are some ways to get out, and get better.

Use the Storyteller Method for Conflict Resolution
Andrea and Yolanda sit in my office deliberately not looking at each other. Their arms are crossed, their knees are pointing away. It would be impossible to sit further away from each other in my office. They were brought because they were just in a fight. Punches were thrown, hair was pulled, and perhaps even more damaging, horrible names were called.

When It's Meant to Be, It's Only a Matter of Time
I believe that when something is truly meant to be, it will be. It could take a day, a month, or a year, but it is there somewhere waiting for you. Whatever it is that is meant to be for you. Maybe it's a true love that you have broken up with or a family member or friend that has gone to prison. Maybe it's a child and parent relationship that needs to be worked on.

Cheaters
It's something no one wants, even if you are one. To be cheated on is the ultimate trust breaker in a relationship. So how do we avoid that person, that situation? Well, this is the way I have found cheating to be. You either are one at heart, or you put yourself in bad situations that can be avoided.

Plus Sized Love
I've never been a petite princess.. like ever! My mother blessed me with thick thighs, cakes, and pies as we like to call them. Ever since I started dating I can never say it's been easy. I guess I was always conscious about my body. But don't get me wrong that never stopped me from crushing on boys and being a little stalker in high school lol. When I had a crush on someone it was bad! I would track when they had certain classes so that I could walk past them in the hallway. I would find out who their friends were, asking them about them casually. But I would never say anything to the person, I admired from afar. I was always afraid, I thought I was pretty shy, but according to my friends, I was bold!
