Phasmophobia
My gaming career (or lack thereof) started with a Nintendo DS during Sunday church service while my parents fought the battle of keeping my sibling and me quiet but lost the one where we were meant to pay attention. Nintendogs and Animals Crossing New Leaf were the only games that would capture my attention for a long period of time; my sister soon became obsessed with longer storyline games, such as Zelda, Spyro, and the likes. As we grew older, I would stray farther away from gaming as a whole, and she would continue to venture further into open-explored worlds, new gaming consoles, and eventually streaming. Her love of the video game world is the only reason I met my newest pasttime, Phasmophobia.

Ethan Winters vs. The World
THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR RESIDENT EVIL 7 AND 8!! New hyperfixation say whaaaatttt! Resident Evil Village is the hot new horror game that everyone is talking about (and something that I've been playing nonstop lately). The hype all started a few months ago when the trailer revealed gorgeous designs of four of the monsters that were going to appear in the main game. The breathtaking, 9 foot tall Lady Dimitrescu and her gorgeous vampire daughters got new and old fans ready to start up their gaming consoles and play this already amazing game! As a big fan of RE, I was super excited for this game! It had so many aesthetics that just called out to me but I was a bit disappointed to see that our main protagonist was none other than Ethan Winters from the prior game.

I have never written a video game review before, this will be my first time. That's how much I have to say about OMOCAT'S first and--at the moment--only game, OMORI. On Steam it is tagged as "psychological horror"--which seemed strange to me, as the screencaps previewed on Steam seem very innocuous--adorable, even!

Pandemic Horror Gaming
How is anyone expected to have fun when they're isolated?! Me, personally? I like gaming, so I turned to that as a source of amusement, and utilized the game pass on our XBox One to see if there were any hidden gems. We (my partner and I) talked about each game that had an appealing concept and debated over whether I would like this one or that one, until I came across a game well-known as a movie title that made me pause and say, "Oooh, what about this one?"
