Just a Minute
My head lay against the headrest in all anticipation. The ride was about to start. The excitement of thrill ran through my veins. I have waited all summer to be here. The seat was, as usual, stiff. I place my head back from the long spiel from the employees, all from warnings to how one should sit on the ride. It feels like they take ten years just to finish all the safety warnings. All the warnings about the stuff left in the bin may go missing. All for the name of covering their liabilities if something happens. I followed, putting my head against the rest. It was highly stressful, and yet others did not do it all. I take a deep breath as the lights count down the blast. The ride was famous, and the line was long. It was a scorching day, but I did enjoy the wait for such a ride. Its speed was faster than every other coaster I have ridden. I wished to get closer to the front, but that line would have taken forever. It was at least running, considering it was supposed to rain today, but the sky has stayed clear. I just want to sit back and relax as my body is pushed uphill for over one hundred feet. The time is coming closer as the red light appears. All the waiting has come to this a minute, so late, and it will all be over.

Unfriended to Life
You will seldom browse Facebook when your work's unfinished...You will focus only on the bullshit job that you won't try to understand except for the times when you will encounter quandaries and problems that you won't be able to solve even if you were to ask someone for help.

We'z Walking on a Path Ruled By Numbers. Top Story - May 2024.
This road has felt endless, yet limited; every step tracked. Inching away along this path, I feel trapped. Confined. Left to this narrow passage that may one day amount to something greater. Time is not a concept. Only distance. From start to finish, I laugh and cry and attempt to convince myself that this is worth it. I cannot stray. I must keep going. Every step etched, is a step taken, is measured as more than before. I cannot even recall how I got here. Maybe I don’t even really exist. Just another tick marking off a perceived presence. Of what though? I am just another line drawn. Nothing more, nothing less.

Dreams of the Savannah. Content Warning.
I am hungry. The dust is familiar, a similar colour to what I've known, but there are none of the scents of the savannah. The grasses would find plenty to feed them here but they would not be given the chance to grow. They would not provide cover in which to hide, to camouflage, to aid the hunt.

Just a Minute is Important on the Morning Commute
Gazing around from my spot in the driver’s seat, I see that I need to get gas and straighten the passenger floor mat that’s askew. Huh, I don’t think I’ve ever used that word before. The dash display clicks to 7:53. Good, it looks like I’ll make it to work on time.

Who Are The Teachers Of Hatred? Part IV
His words sent pain to her heart she couldn’t understand. She stared into his eyes and saw her pain, in his eyes. Sighing heavily forcing her pain back where it came from, she stood up, “I am sorry, but your crime is unspeakable and without conscience. I can’t allow hatred to win twice.”

Crossed
Long ago, before the sexes were born, two equally different humans existed. Then, they shared the V chromosome, until one day the V unfolded itself into an X. For one human the X doubled, but only one prevailed, barring the other. When the other's V unfolded Y slipped into place, perfectly aligning itself within X, determining a new pathway. Female and Male formed, along with their bodies' mindful voices.
