Unforgettable Experiences
Remember being young and listening to your parents' conversations? Remember listening in and shaking your head in disbelief? I was one of those kids who loved listening to my parents' conversations, and I always thought they were exaggerating; there was no way. Sometimes they were exaggerating others; they were under exaggerating. I remember being eight-years-old listening to my mom and her friends talk about earthquakes, and I was like, earthquakes? What is that? They told me it's when the earth would shake due to sudden movements along the faults of the earth. Eight-year-old me was like this one of their over-exaggeration stories. There's no way the earth could shake; just crazy. Then, a year later, on January 12, 2010, everything went down, literally!

Scouting for Adults
More than half of the eighteen years I've spent on this planet have been spent as a scout. To be honest, I think being a scout is something I'll keep for the rest of my life, even if they become tired of me and toss me out. For the past 10 years, Scouting has been the most interesting, adventurous, supporting, caring, and challenging aspect of my life, and I hope it will continue to be for the next ten.

For the Love of Freedom

It isn't distant from anywhere in the world, because it lies within the hearts of every freedom loving person that breathes. It isn't even far into the future. It is a small country, that until recently was left to their freedom because there wasn't anything anyone wanted from them... to live their lives as they saw fit for themselves, their families, and their fellow countrymen. Then unfortunately, one day, a key substance used in time travel was discovered. It was the only undiscovered natural resource the country had until now, and it put the country in the news. Tachyonite was the crystal... a beautiful nine sided, pale green crystal, too small to cut for jewelry and too soft for industrial uses, but it's properties were such, that it answered the need of scientists developing time travel. Overnight, this crystal of no important value when it was discovered four years ago, became invaluable.

Hidden in the City
When life brought me to Alexandria, VA, I was excited about moving to a big city that boasts the honor of being named one of the coolest cities to live in. I was excited to move into our beautiful apartment, across the street from a quaint little park and a moment's walk from the “Kiss and Ride” metro station. The Tale of the Leopard Eagle
Not many of us will have seen a Leopard Eagle nor, indeed, have even heard of it but, at one time, it was widespread across the world from East Asia, through Southern Europe, parts of Africa and into North America. The ‘Leopard’ Eagle is so called because of the dark spots against a golden brown plumage, which resembled the markings of the Leopard. There is a claim that the North American Leopard Eagle was a separate subspecies but this is something we may never know.
