Harmonious Simplicity
Kelly is a young, ambitious Interior Designer who seems to be having a quarter life crisis, and therefore is finding herself in a fork in a road kind of position. Life is overwhelming, combined with the added pressure to keep her head just above water in her work, as well as being unable to keep her one-bedroom apartment as clean as she would like it to be. Appearing to be successful on the outside, Kelly is craving the simple life, where peace and tranquility would be the by-product of such. Enjoying some rest on a mixed-weather of a weekend; Kelly finds an art deco like bookstore, and decides to grab a cup of joe by the window-side at the shops cafe. From there, Kelly finds inspiration in finding a Marie Kondo book to help her identify the things that bring, and that no longer brings joy during the tidying up process. A decluttering situation is the ace card here.

My stepmom was one of the chaperones for the group, so she required me to participate on the Quiz team. Seeing as we traveled to other churches and saw beautiful scenery from our church van’s windows, I didn't mind.

Chapter 4 Save One Bullet 'Torture him', the mirror had told me. I could follow the mirror’s good advice and shred Tom piece by piece for the next thirty or so years instead of divorcing him. Then, again, as I ruminated over the last twenty years, and the imbalance of our relationship, perhaps things were never as rosy as they had seemed. Had mom’s progressing dementia become such a focus in my life that I missed the signs of a failing marriage?

I can easily say that it was one of the best nights of my life. Pictured above is a poem that my Uncle Andrew wrote for me in Italian. (I am 50% Italian on my mother’s side, and 25% German, and 25% Norwegian on my father’s side.)

Black Heart
It had been three agonizing days since her abduction, the drugs still gripping her senses. When she blinked her eyes open, a hazy afternoon greeted her. Sunlight streamed through the window, casting a radiant, warm glow that painted the room with an eerie tranquility. As she sat down, the memories of the previous night gradually resurfaced, her mind echoing with the brutal truth: "Yes, you were violated last night." Those words, like a recurring nightmare, pierced her very soul.
