Born in 1958.There's a lot of road beneath these feet.Worn out pairs upon pairs of shoes.Been a ranch kid,a city kid,a Marine,a dad, a grandfather now,an avid reader and just recently began writing poetry in 2015 just to vent.

CONFUSION:
I don't know if this will be approved but keep in mind this is about a beautiful person passing from this realm to the next and it is the emotions of confusion that are at play here, not a rant against god..but the questions that are left open..most notably why? As you can see by the date I wrote it a few years ago but it wasn't approved but I don't recall why or even remember if they gave me a reason..maybe because God is mentioned? I don't know but this is about my sister when she passed in first days of the epidemic with all the same symptoms of it but we were lucky to say goodbye compared to so many people.

"WE HAVE SEEN THE ENEMY. Content Warning.
I saw the picture of a little girl floating face down next to her father and it just broke me hard! Illegals trying to cross to a better life. Even now as I write this preface I cry. I can only comfort myself by repeating to myself they are no longer suffering...while I wonder at the cruelty of those that look down on them and I wrote this poem out of pain!

A PERFECT FIT
A PERFECT FIT-I think everyone has that one drawer or basket full of miscellaneous buttons and screws or strings or weird little things that do not seem to go with anything. People are like that too. If those nuts and bolts and things could feel and tell you how THEY feel everytime you pass them by...what would they say? What does that strange little man or that demure quiet downcast lady think, or want to say? Maybe this:
