Reason First: Is Shotti Way out of Line or on the Right Path When It Comes to His Opinion of Tekashi69?
Though the YouTube video of the conversation between Shotti and DJ Pvnch is no longer available, the fallout from the talks has rung through the corners of the Internet like a church bell. Former manager for Tekashi69, Shotti, has called the young MC an “ungrateful rat bastard.” He then goes onto say that he’s fine without his protégé. In the vein of Jay-Z’s classic “Dead Presidents II,” Shotti says in a sense that hustling just ain’t Tekashi69 and that he forgives him.

Reason First: Should NBA Player Jordan Bell Be Sidelined Indefinitely for Fraud?
They say that there is no “I” in team. But there is one in “win,” which points to the fact that it is a collection of individuals who make up a team. There’s also an “I” in bill. Power forward/center Jordan Bell of the National Basketball Association (NBA) team the Golden State Warriors charged an undisclosed amount of money to his assistant coach Mike Brown for purchases he made at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee. What this shows is the emotional exhibition of fraud on the part of the mini-Madoff.

Reason First: Can One Billion Dollars Really Help Build the Wall?
A border to keep people out of the United States makes as much sense as one keeping citizens within the country. The Pentagon’s decision to transfer one billion dollars to construct over 50 miles of fencing is another ugly action perpetrated by government. For people who are desperate, they’re going to find a way to circumvent the border barrier.

Reason First: Are B.I.G. and 'Pac Legends 'Because They Died?'
Actor and podcaster Michael Rapaport is a mainstay in today’s hip hop world. He has made a way for himself, by being a student of rap throughout his life. His latest war of words against rapper Kodak Black is yet another foray into the realm of critiquing the genre. This all stems from Kodak Black’s assertion that he is better than slain rappers Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. These statements should always be welcome even if they are unwarranted.

Reason First: Should Snitching Be a Staple in Society?
In the television series, Atlanta (2016-), Brian Tyree Henry’s character Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles receives a treatment in the second season of the series that played out similar to real life against rapper David Alex “Skinnyfromthe9” Villegas. In the TV show, Henry’s character is greeted by would-be supporters and then attacked and must flee to the forest. Villegas received a barrage of blows from someone claiming to only want a photograph with the rapper at a restaurant. The aftermath involved the rapper contemplating going to the police to solve the incident.

Reason First: Is the Black Woman Still a Target in the World?
It doesn’t take an alleged white supremacist to violate the rights of another black woman, this time a senior citizen abused by a black male. While the videographers continued to capture the brief, lopsided melee, the assailant continued to punch, kick, and stomp the victim. Completely defenseless, the woman sustained bruises and cuts to her face. The question of whether black women are targets surfaces yet again. With all of the onlookers witnessing this brutal attack, no one decided to come to the woman’s aid. As everyone saw this viciousness, the thought to allow someone to record just the attacker's face while others could have rescued the 78-year-old woman from being beaten. Hatred of self remains at the crux of these attacks. The black male that committed this crime is no better than an assailant of any other race or nationality.

Reason First: Is the Black Woman a Target in the World?
The fury of the alleged white supremacist man is a thirst, that may never be quenched. For Austin Shuffield, the man charged with aggravated assault, interference with a 911 call, and public intoxication, against a twenty four-year-old woman of color, L'Daijohnique Lee, the advent of mobile devices recording his moves, including uppercuts and jabs stood against him. All of this activity shows how something as small as blocking an exit can lead to acts of the initiation of physical force.

Reason First: Is Bill Gates the Most Selfish Altruist?
Briefly in 1999, William “Bill” Gates’ net worth surpassed the one hundred billion dollar mark. Now, 20 years later, he’s become a centibillionaire yet again. From his one percent ownership in Microsoft to Cascade Investments, Mr. Gates has amassed this great fortune due to his keen business mind. But he seemingly doesn’t care about all of the money. He is only behind Jeff Bezos in terms of wealth accumulation. But he still doesn’t care about that. He is a philanthropist who through his Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has given away tens of billions of dollars. This is not to aid the homeless in his home state of Washington, and in particular the city of Seattle, but people thousands of miles away in the jungles of Africa.

Reason First: Why Does Trick Daddy Back Kodak Black?
In the world of beats, battles, and slave chains, hip-hop, some of the legends tend to look down on contemporary artists. They disparage everything from their flow, to their style of dress, to their lyricism. Backlash has arisen against rapper Bill “Kodak Black” Kapri stemming from his comments about Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter. His words resonated enough to impact legendary hip-hop artist Maurice “Trick Daddy” Young. By supporting the young rapper, he’s taking a stance to show that the more seasoned generation of hip-hop notables can vibe with the younger set. The fact that Kapri and Young both hail from Florida also is an indicator of the pat on the back that Young gave to Kapri.

Reason First: Is Scientific Exploration the Answer to Unreason?
The greatest scientific mind of all time, Albert Einstein, made a prediction that large events in space, like the collision of black holes, produced ripples, like a large American flag being shaken up and down on a football field. Fellow Nobel laureates sought ways for Mr. Einstein’s prophetic ideations to be observed in reality. The Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory or LIGO is a bastion of hope for the growing mind. Exploration of space and worlds beyond the fold of the Earth is a supremely virtuous endeavor.

Reason First: Is Blueface the Truest Rapper Alive?
Like Morris Chestnut’s character Ricky Baker in the seminal film Boyz n the Hood (1991), Jonathan “Blueface” Porter possessed designs to play college football. Unlike Baker’s character, Porter actually spent a stint playing football for Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. Porter represents yet another hip-hop artist with an easy flow, laid-back persona, and intriguing presence, but can another gang-related rapper crossover to the mainstream? With lyrics like, “that boy got a necklace talking out his neck ‘til I leave him neckless” (emphasis mine), are testament to the gritty realism that continues to permeate through Porter’s work. His slim output, unlike the prodigious oeuvre of other California rappers like Earl “E-40” Stevens and Brandon “Lil’ B” McCartney, may grow and allow him the opportunity to excel at his craft.

Reason First: Will the Real Joe Biden Please Take a Seat?
Ever the windbag, former vice president Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. has slipped up once again. By a twist of the tongue, Biden put himself in the position to claim that he will run for president of the United States of America. Over the years, Delaware’s adopted son has pushed for the agenda of a “regressive” state within the realm of politics. When he speaks, he bloviates and says very little with his rhetoric. His inability to represent for free market ideals is his Achilles heel. Much like any and all candidates, he leads the charge for unreason, unselfishness, and unfree markets.
