Why Marriage Isn't Favorable to Women - Uche Ogbodo's Viral Rant (VIDEO)
Uche Ogbodo is ranting about the unfavourability of marriage to women in a new video saying: UCHE OGBODO: Let us take marriage into consideration. You know that marriage does not favor women in any way. Honestly, it favors only men. A man and a woman come together, get married or arrange to get married, and the whole work in the relationship centers on the head of the woman. The woman will clean. The woman will cook. The woman will nurture. The woman will even pamper the man. The woman will get pregnant. The woman will bear the kids. The woman will raise the kids. The woman will do everything. The only acknowledged responsibility of the man is to provide. Hunger and starvation will drive some women to start a side business, a side hustle, so that they can have money to take care of their children, to provide food because the man is not providing — the man is not bringing the money home to feed the children. And jealousy will still kill the man — that your wife is getting money, that your wife wants to better herself, that your wife is starting a side hustle. Are you not supposed to support her side hustle? You, that is not even having money, why won’t you support the woman so that she can also support you? It’s supposed to be 50/50. It’s supposed to be “bring and I bring,” communal living. Okay, but now this woman starts a business — you won’t support. Then you will tell her that the only way this business will work is when, at the end of the day, she brings the salary home. Or she starts a job — you say that every month she must remit her salary to you as god of Nazareth. Then, as she should bring it, you don’t want her to be better than you. You don’t want her to be rich, and you’ll still not give her money. Is she your slave? Should hunger kill her and her children in the marriage? What is all this? You’re supposed to support your wife. You’re supposed to support your wife’s dream. Let her grow! You don’t know her God-given destiny. Support your wife. Let her become even the president. Women can become presidents! It’s okay for you to be the husband of a president. Support your wife’s hustle. Stop enslaving these women every day. Stop beating. Stop abusing women — psychological abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse — stop it. Stop making marriages a living hell for women. Men just like the easy way out. The easy way out. They don’t want to partake in child raising. All they know is, "I will provide, and it’s my job to provide. It’s my job to just go to work and come back.” So many women have become providers in their own homes too. So many women work in this generation. Women do not leave everything for men. They have careers. They have businesses. They have to support. They have to raise a family. They have to do things. The world has evolved to that level, yet you will not be a caring husband. You will not be a loving partner. You will not give your wife sex. You will not even care for your wife. You will not even pet your wife. You will not do anything for this woman. You will come back. You will cheat. Only you will slap her. You will give her mental breakdown. Only you will abuse her emotionally. So many women are going through so much in their marriage because of not having children — mental abuse. It’s not only when you beat a woman that you have abused her. You will abuse her mentally, call her barren. A woman had eight miscarriages in her marriage, and her husband kept on calling her a barren woman and beating her. How dare you? How dare you call a woman who had eight miscarriages a barren woman? She has been pregnant eight times, but because of the frustrations that you give her in the marriage, she keeps losing the babies, and you call her barren? Are you a bastard? Why are men so wicked? Why are some men so wicked? You abuse her emotionally. You reduce her to nothing. You make her less of herself. You call her ugly because her body has changed in marriage. Her body changes — she has had children for you, beautiful children for you. Do you know what it takes to have kids? You look at that woman and call her shapeless. You tell her, “Look at how your tummy is. You’re very ugly.” How dare you? Then you start to see other fine women who have never had pregnancy in their life, who have never been pregnant, who are still young and prime. Then your wife becomes ugly in your eyes? May God judge you. You need to do better, especially African men.
