Discover London Beyond the Tourist Spots

London Like A Local

By Tabby LondonPublished about 4 hours ago Updated about 4 hours ago 4 min read

When the tourists go right, the locals go left. We love to enjoy London too but minus the crowds. As a born and bred, I can walk in the same areas as the tourists, but not with them. What do I mean by this? If a tourist walks along lets say, Oxford Street, I know the back parallel streets. Here, I’m likely to see more locals.

Don’t get me wrong, London needs tourists, but I don’t want to be surrounded by tourists, just like you don’t in your home city/country.

The London I've been discovering is usually off the well-beaten track.I love the nooks and crannies and walking along the streets steeped in centuries worth of history. I'm fond of Zone 1 because that's where it all began centuries ago.
