Twists and Turns
Life is full of ups and downs

Twists and Turns
I never asked for easy roads,
or signposts pointing home,
I walked where shadows split the light,
and carved my path alone.
The ground was rough, skies were wide,
and sometimes cruel and cold,
but every scar I wore with pride
was worth its weight in gold.
I trusted hearts, I lost some fights,
I laughed when tears ran dry,
I broke some rules to feel alive,
and kissed regret goodbye.
No perfect plan, no flawless chart,
just turns I didn’t see,
every wrong way shaped my heart,
and made me more of me.
So twist and turn, and rise and fall,
I’ll take it as it comes,
this life that rolls without a map,
I’ll meet it head-on, strong.
And when the road runs out of signs,
I’ll walk it anyway,
for every step, through dark or bright,
has made me who I stay.

I really liked this one, Marie. Another one for the gem pot 😉😉
I often make things difficult for myself, I think , to make sure I work at things. This is an excellent take on the subject
