The Sapling and Dandelion
A poem about reaching your true potential
If only we could learn a lesson
from the sapling growing between rocks and soil
or the dandelion blooming between concrete
Aren't they small?
at first glance, insignificant?
And yet they persevere
through the concrete,
the rugged earth
the elements given to them
and soar towards the sky
If only we could see our own capabilities
our true potential
Because even though we are small and fragile
like the sapling and dandelion
Often we forget how brave we really are
How strong we really can be
We are not as insignificant as we might think
The sapling and dandelion know no insignificance
They just grow
Perhaps we should take that as a lesson
and give life what we've got
and grow towards our goals
Just like the sapling and dandelion
