I.

Standing tall in fog

along coastal mountain range.

The redwood will strive

despite an uncertain fate

In the hands of human waste.

II.

The sinister moss!

Small as they are, they invade.

With blankets of green.

Smothering trees and boulders

conquering all in their path.

III.

Even in darkness

Of an empty and cold space.

Distant stars still burn

And litter the sky with light

--adversity still prevails.

IV.

After white winters

It is pleasing to observe

The birth of colors.

As spring rises through cold earth

And blossoms green, gold, purple.
