Man of Constant Sorrow

The struggle within

I fear not dying, for death can only offer something brighter than my life,

I fear not the Lord’s anger at my words. Pain or strife

Fore I’m a man of constant sorrow and a man of constant sorrow

Sees no bright futures or better tomorrows

He’s simply content within the world he lives; He simply is

He’s one that does not often smile and his laughter’s far and few between,

No one touches his heart because long ago, he locked it away never to be seen,

His stare’s cold and deadly, his soul a darkened mass.

He’s that one rose among so many that withers then turns to ash

He’s a man of near total sadness, with dullness in his eyes

Simply put; he’s a man already dead, who doesn’t know he’s died.
