I long for what the love birds sing

a romance made of flowery dreams

A map of my imperfect things

ending love, prematurely

A pugilist of haunting ghosts

fragments and patterns of our past

Acknowledging their present hosts

outlines in sand, sifting times glass

Coming and going with the tide

rising and falling without will

Currents that pass the test of time

await for me outside my sill

Music upon a summer breeze

making a way to find my sound

Collecting lost pieces of me

like tokened treasure on the ground

The lips of lovers, poets and rogues

desire searching for release

A dream worth chasing, I suppose

Finding the lock that holds my key

Your poetry moves like the current you describe. Well done.

I love your descriptions and wordplay. So much artistry humbles me.
