Merriam Webster - Word of the day: Tranche refers to a division or portion of a whole.
World Contact Day is commemorated every year on March 15. It is a unique observance held globally to focus on communicating with extraterrestrial life and exploring the possibility that intelligent beings may exist beyond Earth.
World Contact Day inspires people to invoke their curiosity and spend time thinking about the universe and the mysteries surrounding it.
What is the “Ides of March”? According to the Roman calendar, the Ides are a monthly occurrence. In March and other months with 31 days, the Ides always falls on the 15th; it falls on the 13th in months with 30 days. The Ides traditionally marked the arrival of the new Moon and was cause for celebration. The word “Ides” is derived from Latin, meaning “to divide.”
Mothering Sunday in 2026 falls on Sunday, March 15. Mothering Sunday, celebrated in the United Kingdom and Ireland, occurs on the fourth Sunday of Lent, which is exactly three weeks before Easter. Unlike the fixed-date Mother's Day in countries like the United States, Canada, and Australia, Mothering Sunday’s date changes each year according to the Christian liturgical calendar.
On March 15, 2026, several notable observances and events are celebrated:
Dumbstruck Day: A day to express frustration.
Everything You Think is Wrong Day: A day to challenge and celebrate wrong beliefs.
International Day Against Police Brutality: A day to raise awareness and advocate against police violence.

I love what you did here, how the pauses work so well with the topic. I found myself listening This is wonderful.
I love the "texture" and relatability of this one Hannah! Very clear!
This is one of the most creative acrostics I’ve seen, Hannah. I loved it!
such a creative way for an acrostic! Hannah style all the way
This such a creative way to do this. Really well done Hannah
This is definitely the cleverest one I've seen so far! I had to read it twice!
Absolutely love it! Things going thump in the night… creepy! Or just floorboards contracting 🥹.
Dammit, Hannah. How can I even compete when you pull this out from your wonderful mind? This gets all ticks from me...distracts enough from the acrostic format while also tying into it, clever formatting gives it a very disjointed feel but as you have used words carefully sliced, they still qualify as English...and it all keeps with the theme. Just yeah, you deserve all the cake. All the back pats for this one. Truly fucking jealous right here. Well done.
I love how Pl...ease and ease works either way. Clever work, Hannah!
Omgggg, you're so brilliant! Those words have meanings whether they are together or separate! That blew my mind!
You’re such a fab and creative writer. This was brill.
How unique... as we can only expect from Hannah Moore!!!
I'm counting down the hours until this gets Top Story! Such a fun interpretation of the prompt, and so deftly done. WOW! (And if not TS, then definitely a placement!)
My goodness, this is impossibly clever. Those small sounds in the dark -- terrifying.
Oh, I loved how you split the words, as if the person is so scared they started to stutter.
Ooh great job and creepy twist!
That was really clever how you did that! Well done!
Well I’m going to have anxiety at bedtime tonight haha!
Creative and impressive!!! Thought about doing what you did!!! Bravo!!!💕❤️❤️
What a splendid and unique approach to the acrostic challenge!
Excellent!
