It is a stressful subject,
but I still Vote.

Itโs like trusting people with your life
Some are trust worthy

Some Are Just A Pathological Liars
They Just Want Our Votes
What I do not want is Chaos

I try to Listen Carefully
To see WHO is Less
Than the two evil

I just Vote
And hope for the best

Women did not used to have a right to Vote
Itโs something I feel I need to do on Election Day
Someone fought hard for me in the past
So I can Vote today

Something Is Beginning, I Think Challenge Winners
This challenge wasnโt about clean starts. It was about that weird in-between where something is beginning, but no one really knows what yet. A lot of these stories leaned into hesitation, into pauses and false starts and that feeling that something is about to happen but hasnโt quite.

Well done! I am on the same wavelength. Everyone is smiling during the election period, and then everyone, say, ''I don't believe that itโs my fault.'' The deceptive behaviors of politicians are evident. The only thing that saves humanity is its heart.

I find it hard to trust politicians nowadays but I still vote.
I have to agree. I'm not a fan of politics, and I must decipher which one seems 'better' than the other.
Great piece on politics! It's such a double-edged sword. I remember as a child listening to debates and they were pretty much about policies, ideas, and promises for their term, should they be elected. Now they just stand up there, call each other names, lie and create chaos. The world sure is changing. Anytime you write something that makes me think this much... it's awesome! ๐
I understand why politics is stressful, and feels like you're putting your life in someone else's hands. Especially since I want to pursue politics as a career. It truly does seem like there's only a handful of politicians who really do care about you and your wellbeing. My one fear is becoming like the politicians that I loathe, a liar who's willing to do anything for your vote. Anyway, nice poem. Well done ๐.
You may already know I never read poetry, but the title caught my eye. Unfortunately, not enough people look at politics as a civic duty and a way for all of us to better our lives. Instead, they see it as what's in it for me. I prefer your approach and your reasons for it.
