velvet gloves and diamond rings

crying doves when angels sing

should've worked out, but man, it didn't

major fail, with a hashtag in it

expectations the common cause of trouble

new translations make a poor man chuckle

prospects here, that should wear a muzzle

living inside his self made bubble

rolling around with my gospel gun

shooting my mouth off just for fun

made the timid start to run

in black and white you can't see the blood

tellin' tales that just don't add up

tryin' to fill a fractured cup

look at you, you don't look so tough

tell me now, are you givin' up?

velvet gloves and diamond rings

crying doves when angels sing

should've worked out, but man, it didn't

another major fail, with a hashtag in it
