I hear

the little Munchkins'

voices saying

"Follow the Yellow Brick Road."

Tonight, I am

following a yellow line

to your room.

Once, for Halloween,

you asked

to be the Cowardly Lion.

That fall day,

I drove, once again,

following a yellow line

To the Halloween store.

Perfect costume

my brother.

I see

Someone stopped by.

Aw, I see your scarecrow

and lion stuffies have been brought.

Testomony of love.

With a yawn

and a stretch

and a quick search

of my phone

I began to play

The Wizard of Oz

We listened

again for the billionth time.

Some where

one of the munchkins

must have told him

to follow

the yellow brick road

and he did.

On a road

I couldn't see.

On a road

not time for me to travel.

He's off to see the Wizard.
