a poem

those selective selfies

in an edited prose

supernatural effigies

surrounded by crows

a murderous journey

where the wounds never close

together an army

living life, status quo

I can’t see what's coming

omnipotence charges my life

but you’ve got it cued in

fate wielding chance, with a knife

played out perfectly

like wings of a butterfly

commanding everything

in graves of dragonflies

filtered to be pretty

designed to deceive

feigning the pity

until the doubters believe

whatever you're seeing

the truth is harder to conceive

when you rearrange meaning

and new facts are achieved

you never know what you're getting

you'll never know what is real

the future is seen as threatening

if everyone knows the deal

so you cast your own shadows

till we no longer know what is true

looking out tinted windows

at everything but the truth

fact or fictionslam poetrysurreal poetryFirst Draft
