Far beyond the crowded cities, beyond the noisy roads and the tall buildings that touched the clouds, there was a quiet village called Silver Hollow. The village rested between two gentle mountains and a wide forest that seemed to whisper whenever the wind passed through its trees.

Life in Silver Hollow was simple. People woke up early, worked in the fields, baked warm bread, and gathered in the evening to share stories beside small lanterns. Nothing extraordinary ever happened there.

At least, that is what everyone believed.

But in a small wooden house near the edge of the forest lived a girl named Liora, and her world was far from ordinary.

Liora was known in the village as a quiet and thoughtful child. While other children ran across the fields chasing butterflies or playing games near the river, Liora preferred to sit alone under the open sky.

She loved the night.

Not because it was dark, but because it was full of light.

Every evening, when the last lamp in the village faded and the sky turned deep blue, Liora climbed a hill behind her house. From there she could see thousands of stars scattered across the sky like diamonds spilled by an invisible hand.

But Liora believed something no one else believed.

She believed the stars were speaking.

The first time it happened, she was only eight years old. She had been lying on the grass, watching the sky quietly, when suddenly she heard a soft sound.

Not a voice.

Not exactly.

It was more like music made of whispers.

At first she thought it was the wind brushing through the trees. But the wind had stopped.

The sound came from above.

From the stars.

“Hello?” Liora whispered to the sky, unsure if she was imagining things.

The whisper returned, gentle and distant, like a melody traveling across space.

Liora sat up slowly, her heart beating fast.

“Can you hear me?” she asked.

For a moment, there was silence.

Then the brightest star in the sky flickered softly.

And the whisper came again.

That night changed everything.

After that, every evening Liora returned to the hill. And each time she listened carefully, the strange celestial whispers returned.

They did not speak in normal words.

Instead, they spoke in feelings, in small sparks of understanding that appeared suddenly in her mind.

Sometimes they showed her images: glowing rivers of light, floating islands made of crystal, and enormous cities hidden among the stars.

Other times they gave her questions.

Why do humans forget how to wonder?

Why do they fear the unknown?

Why do they stop dreaming as they grow older?

Liora did not always know the answers.

But she listened.

Night after night.

Year after year.

One evening, when Liora was twelve, something different happened.

The sky was unusually clear that night. The stars seemed brighter than ever, shining with a calm but powerful glow. The air felt strangely alive, as if the entire universe was holding its breath.

Liora sat on the hill as usual.

But the whispers did not come.

Minutes passed.

Then suddenly the brightest star began to pulse with light.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

The whispers returned — stronger than ever before.

But this time they formed a clear message inside her mind.

“The Gate is awakening.”

Liora froze.

“The gate?” she whispered.

The wind began to move across the hill, rustling the grass softly.

Again the message appeared in her thoughts.

“The Gate between worlds.”

Liora’s heart pounded.

She had never heard the stars speak so clearly.

“What gate?” she asked quietly.

For a moment, the stars dimmed.

Then a single beam of light shot across the sky like a silver arrow, pointing directly toward the dark forest beside the village.

The message came again.

“Find it before the silence does.”

Liora stood up slowly.

“The silence?” she whispered.

But the stars had already faded back into their distant glow.

The whispers stopped.

The hill grew quiet again.

Liora looked toward the forest. The trees stood tall and mysterious, their shadows stretching across the ground like sleeping giants.

No one in the village ever went deep into that forest.

Old stories said strange things lived there.

But Liora felt something stronger than fear.

Curiosity.

And something else.

A feeling that the universe itself had chosen her.

She took a deep breath and looked once more at the stars.

“I will find it,” she promised softly.

That night, while the village slept peacefully, Liora prepared for a journey that would change not only her life—

but the fate of two worlds.
